Shielded Mica Heating Collar
Usage :
Rectangular shielded mica band heaters are intended for external and conductive heating of rectangular parts such as extruder bodies and square tanks.
Maximum temperature for use of collars: 350°C, maximum load 4.2 W/cm².
Technical description :
- Resistive wire or tape wound on a mica paper support;
- Electro-galvanized or 430 stainless steel shielding;
- Minimum height and width: 40 mm, maximum: 1200 mm;
- Steel or stainless steel flanges intended to flatten the collars on the part to be heated;
- Tightening by screws and nuts, number according to the height of the collar;
- Voltage: from 24 to 440 V Single-phase or Three-phase.
Possible variants:
- Holes for passage of probes, pipe tapping, etc.;
- Half collar, heated collar portion;
- Thermostat under cover;
- Built-in thermocouple.
Assembly :
It is recommended, during assembly, to ensure a good tightening of the heating band and to perfect it after 30 min of heating.
To ensure proper operation of the collar heater, the user must provide a temperature control system.
Shielded mica band heaters are not impervious to liquid (water) splashes.
