Shielded ceramic heating collar
Usage :
Ceramic band heaters are intended for conduction heating of cylindrical parts at high temperatures. They are used in the injection, extrusion of plastic materials or in specific applications such as the heating of tanks from the outside.
Maximum temperature of use of heating collars 750°C for stainless steel shielding and 900°C for Inconel shielding. Maximum load 8 W/cm².
Technical description :
- Coiled resistive alloy wire;
- Insulation: ceramic modules;
- Outer casing in 430 stainless steel or Inconel;
- minimum diameter: 60 mm, maximum diameter: 1200 mm;
- minimum height 20 mm then in steps of 15 mm (20, 35, 50, 65, etc.);
- voltage from 24 to 440 V single-phase or three-phase;
- Tightening by trunnion: number of tightenings according to the height of the collar.

- Holes for passage of probes, tapping of pipes, etc.;
- Serrage compensé (ressorts ou rondelles Belleville) ;
- Compensated tightening (springs or Belleville washers);
- Quick assembly (onesie);
- Thermostat under cover;
- Built-in thermocouple.
Assembly:
Band heaters are flexible and therefore easy to mount on the part to be heated. The nominal diameter of the collar is identical to that of the part to be heated. It is recommended, during assembly, to ensure a good tightening of the heating collar and to perfect it after 30 minutes of heating. To ensure proper operation of the collar heater, the user must provide a temperature control system. Ceramic collar heaters are not liquid (water) splash proof.
